Tayside Doubles 2007 - Saturday 20th Oct 2007

It is Arbroath’s turn to host this event and it will be held on Saturday 20th October 2007 in the Viewfield Hotel.

There will be strict sign-in time of 11:30 am with a view to commencing at 12:00 prompt.

Entry Fee is £10 per pair (£5 per player) which is payable only on the day of the event.

Prize Money will be dependent on the total entries on the day but will be a minimum £150 to the winning pair.

Rules will be Scottish Pool Association Blackball. Copies of the rules will be available on the day or can be downloaded in advance from the SPA website.

The format will be best of five frames to start with. Depending on entries this may include using the 1-minute time rule to ensure a steady rate of frames throughout the day. As the competition progresses there will hopefully be a 14-1/Speedpool/Flyer organised.

Brechin has supported recent Tayside Singles and Arbroath Open events at the same venue and it would be good to see some intrepid players make the journey again and have a go in this one too. Although there will be a lot of good players on show, Doubles is a great "leveller" and the best players don't always make the best doubles. It's all about the partnerships!

Brechin Pool League have adopted this web address....

This is a change from the original domain ... so it is important to change any existing links to show the new address. The previous domain name will shortly be scrapped and will then not function.

Tables (with results) for season 2006-07 Leagues 'A' and 'B' have been added to the web site. There are links in the sub-heading and main navigation menu.

Brechin Pool League Site ~ Under Construction !

The site software has been installed and above I've inserted a temporary 'Brechin Pool League' banner which can, if wished, be replaced in the future.

This section of the site would normally include League news.
News and other information can be inserted by administrators.
A range of news categories has been added.

Various categories will have to be set up for articles, forums, etc before members can sign up and post.
Well.... they could actually register on the site now, but various features need to be set up.

The site is controlled by designated administrators. They can change the appearance and content of the side and central panels.
Some site members can also be assigned the task of moderators.

The software to add results and update tables is installed seperately and links are placed from this site to those tables.
